The second race of the 2026 GTC Endurance Challenge season at the Slovakiaring had plenty of surprises up its sleeve. Sharing the track once more with TCR European Endurance, the series promoted by Riza International put on a compelling show in Orechova Poton, with both stages full of on-track overtakes and daring strategies. In the end, it was a weekend of first victories, as Visdomini/Kamiloglu (Porsche Cayman 718) took their maiden win in the Pro-Am category, while Damante/Maccari (Alpine A110 GT4 Evo) were the best of the Am field. As a resuIt, the championship standings evolved heavily following the second event of the year.
In the Pro-Am class, Davide Nardilli (BMW M4 GT4 Evo) retained the championship lead. After winning the opening race in the history of the championship, the Italian also succeeded in the opening stage at the Slovakiaring, though he finished second in the overall race results. Still, he leads with 139 points, 11 more than his main rivals Visdomini/Kamiloglu. The Autorlando pair took their maiden win in the series in Slovakia, thus closing the gap to the top; Visdomini also leads the Gentleman trophy. Third are Bastos/Ebrahim (Aston Martin Vantage GT4), with the Brazilian duo trailing by 22 points. This situation is mirrored in the teams’ standings, with Casals Motorsport ahead of Autorlando and Gino Motorsport.
A change of leadership in the Am class sees Damante/Maccari (Alpine A110 GT4 Evo) climb to the top. The Tuder Motorsport pair were fantastic in Slovakia, taking the winning spoils in the race as well as in both stages. The Italian duo is now leading the class standings with 139 points. After finishing off the podium in round two, Vallelunga race winners Antonucci/Mancinelli (Mercedes AMG GT4) thus dropped to second, with a 24-point gap to bridge. Still, Antonucci leads the Junior trophy, though with a single point over Jacob Trost (Porsche Cayman 718). Racing with Hans Peter Eder, the Wimmer Werk Motorsport driver trials together with his teammate by 30 points in the Am standings, as they sit in third. Kornelia Oklucka (Mercedes AMG GT4), who took her maiden stage podium on Sunday in Slovakia, is now fifth with 77 points, while also leading the Ladies trophy. Newcomers Yeremenko/Volobuiev (Audi R8 GT4) sit on 52 points after their positive debut last time out. In the teams’ standings, Tuder Motorsport leads over Lema Racing, with Wimmer Werk Motorsport in third; Casals Motorsport sit in fourth, with Racing Animals by GT Sports in fifth.
The series now heads into the summer break, as the next race of the season is scheduled to take place in Valencia from September 25 to September 27.
