Tiago Pinto and Gino Motorsport will join forces for the 2026 season of the GTC Endurance Challenge. The Piedmont-based team will rely on the Brazilian driver for the first season of the championship promoted by RIZA International, fielding an Aston Martin Vantage GT4.
The Italian outfit has been active in the automotive sector for more than 60 years, but has only more recently embarked on the path of motorsport competition. In addition to the rally programme led by Alessandro Gino, the team’s Driving Academy activity also includes a GT4 programme, with the aim of combining passion and technical expertise to introduce less experienced drivers to high-level racing.
This is the case with Tiago Pinto, a South American driver who began his racing career in 2025, contesting his first race at the wheel of a GT4 car at the Misano circuit. Furthermore, the Brazilian has completed a test with the Motorsport Performance Academy (MPA), meaning that 2026 will be his first full season, during which he will need to gain experience on most European circuits.
The car of choice is the Aston Martin Vantage GT4, one of the longest-serving models in the category. The car traces its roots back to the Vantage N24 of the late 2000s and has since undergone an extensive development process by Aston Martin Racing, resulting in a version that incorporates certain solutions from the GT3 project to improve performance, while retaining around 80% of the structural and mechanical architecture of the road-going car. The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and transmission are also derived from the production Vantage.
The 2026 season will mark an important milestone in Gino Motorsport’s growth path, as the team takes on an international and prestigious stage such as the GTC Endurance Challenge. Moreover, the presence of a driver from outside Europe highlights the growing global interest surrounding the championship, which continues to become increasingly international.
On-track action will begin over the weekend of 19 April, with the opening round of the season taking place at the Vallelunga circuit.
