Casals Motorsport announces its drivers for the 2026 GTC Endurance Challenge season

Casals Motorsport continues its preparation ahead of its debut in the endurance series promoted by RIZA International. After confirming Cristian Carinci for the TCR European Endurance, the team has now announced its line-up for the GTC Endurance Challenge, where the drivers will compete behind the wheel of the BMW M4 GT4 Evo.

Sebastian Gavazza and Davide Nardilli will contest the full continental season in the Bavarian car run by the team led by Giulio Cappello and Gustavo Sandrucci. For Gavazza, this marks a continuation with the Umbrian outfit in 2026, following his sixth-place finish in the 2025 TCR Italy DSG standings. The transition from front-wheel-drive touring cars to the GT4 category represents a significant technical step forward and a new challenge in his racing career.

Alongside him is Davide Nardilli, a new addition to the Terni-based team. The driver has built his experience mainly in TCR Italy, Coppa Italia Turismo and various one-make touring championships, standing out for his consistency, reliability and race management skills—key qualities for tackling a multi-class endurance series such as the GTC Endurance Challenge. However, for the opening round at Vallelunga, the two drivers will compete in separate line-ups: Gavazza will be joined by Luca Esposito, while Giacomo Maman will partner Nardilli in the sister car.

The two young drivers will follow a development path within the program of the Cappello-Sandrucci-led team, alongside a parallel commitment in the GT4 Italy Series. Both come from a 2025 season in prototype racing, where they impressed in the Italian Sport Prototypes Championship, with Maman narrowly missing out on the national title. Esposito, born in 2009, will be among the youngest drivers on the grid at Vallelunga, in what represents a key step ahead of his GT4 debut also at national level.

The GTC Endurance Challenge is set to kick off its 2026 season at Vallelunga on April 19. The calendar also includes a second Italian round in Misano on November 15, which will conclude the season after mid-year events at the Slovakiaring and the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.
