GTC Endurance Challenge heads to the Slovakiaring for round two of the season

After its very first official outing in Vallelunga, the fight in GTC Endurance Challenge for both class titles promises to be thrilling, with 15 drivers ready to partake in the second round of the season. In the Pro-Am category, all eyes will be on Davide Nardilli (BMW M4 GT4 Evo), who took both stage wins as well as victory in the final race results in Vallelunga. The Casals Motorsport driver will partner up with Sebastian Gavazza, who had raced in the Am class in round one and finished third. Their main rivals will be Brazil’s Tiago Pinto Bastos and Pedro Ebrahim (Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Evo), who secured second position in Vallelunga, together with the Autorlando pair of Visdomini/Kamiloglu (Porsche 718 Cayman GT4).

The Am class brought plenty of on-track battles to the table in the opening round, so expect more of the same at the Slovakiaring. Championship leaders Antonucci/Mancinelli (Mercedes AMG GT4) will be the ones to beat in Orechova Poton after their compelling race win in Vallelunga, but the competition for top spot will be fierce. Tuder Motorsport’s Damante/Maccari (Alpine A110 GT4 Evo) looked very competitive last time out on their way to second in the Am-class final race results. Fresh off their second-place finish in Vallelunga’s Stage-2, the Wimmer Werk Motorsport duo of Trost/Eder (Porsche 718 Cayman GT4) will be looking to repeat that in Slovakia, while Kornelia Olkucka (Mercedes AMG GT4) is set to hunt her first top three finish for Lema Racing. Last but not least, a new entry will join the grid: Racing Animals by GT-Sports will bring an Audi R8 GT4 to the starting grid for the first time with an all-Ukrainian line-up made up of former Mazda MX-5 Cup drivers Ivan Yeremenko and Serhii Volobuiev.

The official on-track action at the Slovakiaring will begin on Friday 5 June, with two free practice sessions at 10:55 and 14:10 local time respectively; the day will be wrapped up by qualifying, with the two back-to-back sessions starting at 17:40 local time. On Saturday 6 June, Stage-1 is set to start early in the morning at 10:05 local time, whereas Stage-2 will take place on Sunday 7 June, with the green flag waived at 11:40 local time. Both stages will be broadcast live on TCR TV and GO-TV’s official YouTube channel, with Daniele Spadi on commentary duties, as well as on PitwallTV and Acelera GP’s YouTube Channels.
