Jacob Trost to compete in the GTC Endurance Challenge with Wimmer Werk Motorsport

After announcing its entry into the GTC Endurance Challenge with the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4, Wimmer Werk Motorsport has completed its line-up for the debut season of the series promoted by RIZA International.

For the Austrian team’s new driver, managed by brothers Felix and Max Wimmer, 2026 will mark his move to closed-wheel racing after a career in karting. More power to handle, a completely different driving approach and race management focused on endurance are among the key challenges awaiting Trost in his debut with the Fischamend-based team. His addition fits perfectly with Wimmer Werk Motorsport’s philosophy, which has always focused on developing and nurturing young talents.

The pairing with the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 could prove competitive right from the start: on one hand, the team’s solid experience in recent ADAC GT4 and European GT4 campaigns with the German car; on the other, the enthusiasm and potential of the young German driver, making his debut with the Weissach manufacturer—a milestone that represents a dream for many young German racers.

Trost’s program will officially get underway during the opening weekend on April 19 at the Vallelunga circuit. On track, alongside the GT4 cars, there will also be the TCR European Endurance, another RIZA International series, making for a busy multi-class event.

With the GTC Endurance Challenge debut fast approaching, Wimmer Werk Motorsport lines up with the ambition of being a front-runner in the GT4 endurance scene as well, following the titles secured in 2025 in the TCR European Endurance.
